Sorority History
Chi Upsilon Sigma has been in existence since April 29, 1980, incepted on the New Brunswick Campus
of Rutgers University in New Jersey. The sorority was officially recognized on March 11, 1981 by the Greek Council of
Rutgers. It was the desire of our founding mothers to create a sisterhood-a place away from home in which the members
could feel the strong sense of family, which is such a force in the Latino culture.

Psi Chapter History
Psi Chapter is located at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. It was chartered on November 17, 2001.
Psi Chapter prides itself on being the first and only Latin Sorority in the state of South Carolina.
